Yes, I know, a post has been a long time coming! But, I’m still here, I promise.I’m still working, still shooting… :)I have so much to catch up on this blog – but I thought I’d start with this sweet family shoot that I did over Christmas in Colorado. This was a very special shoot for me.I shot Sarah and Kevin’s wedding what seems like eons ago… well, not really. But, it was truly one of my very, very first weddings that I actually got paid for… ! It was a beautiful wedding that took place on their family ranch in the town I grew up in.I’m pretty sure my mom was my assistant and get this – I shot FILM! Crazy, right? Well, a lot has changed for them since then, and a lot has changed for me.They have two adorable, rough and tumble boys – and I think I can say that my photography has evolved a lot since I photographed them last.I loved revisiting the same family ranch, and remembering what it was like years ago – and then seeing how much unconditional love had blossomed since then.Love you guys!
I’ve been documenting this family for almost 4 years and I seriously love them more and more each time! Audrey is just the sweetest thing and I can’t believe that she is already 1! It seems like yesterday that I was photographing her in her mamas belly. Now she’s walking and trying to keep up with her older brother, Daniel. I am so grateful to have been able to document her first year – so much growth, so many changes, so much love… !
I’ve had this blog for over 2 years now and I’ve met some really nice people that have somehow or another stumbled upon my ramblings and decided to stay.It makes me so happy to get to meet them in person – especially if they have a little miracle that they want to share with me.
Baby Fiona surprised her parents with her arrival 2 months early.Well, she is finally home and I was so honored to photograph her newborn session very close to her actual due date. The moment I laid eyes on her – I was smitten.Piper and Mark were there at the beginning of the shoot and Piper looked so big compared to little Fiona.Granted she is about 5 months older… but I kept thinking to myself, Piper was never that small… Well, it turns out she was (of course)… crazy how the things you think you will never forget, somehow find a way to get warped in your mind.Awwww… if only they could stay this little forever…
Keren and John are the most loving parents.I know little Fiona is going to grow up one happy and very loved little girl. It’s amazing how much love these little bundles bring into your life… they truly change everything – for the better.
O.K., so Piper is going on 4 1/2 months, so I thought I better post her 3 month photos or I’m not going to do it until she’s in high school! Wow, I can’t believe how fast time is flying by… this is ridiculous.Everyone always says, It goes so fast… ! But, you don’t really realize it until it happens to you… oh, wow!
Dear Time, Please slow down.Thank you.
I’m working on a special project and so some of these were taken with just a mid-grade DSLR with a standard zoom lens – I’m wondering if you can tell which ones? I can definitely see the difference but curious if you can! ? ! ? ! ?
A few things I’ve learned – there is nothing and I mean nothing better than a sleeping baby in daddy’s arms. Mark was sleeping too in this photo – but he didn’t look quite a cute. (I think his mouth was wide open and there might even have been a little drool… haha)
Piper is going to be one photographed little girl.
Piper does this rodeo move in the bath – it looks like she is riding a bull. She arches her back throws up one hand and then splashes back down. She provides us endless amounts of entertainment. We just love her oh-so-much!
Wow, I can’t believe it… but we’re nearing the end of Audrey’s first year! Where does the time go? She keeps getting bigger and cuter! She is the smiliest little girl and she just radiates so much happiness.I am in love… (and with her cutie patootie brother too! ! ! ).
