I guess you could say it wasn’t your typical Valentine’s Day.Let me set the scene… Whilshire Avenue, the LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art), over 1,000 excited, hungry, art-loving people, a band, and a gigantic tent! There is nothing cuter than giving a camera (clad with flash and a whaletale) to your fiance at an event of over 1,000 people and saying, O.K., now remember everything I taught you – (like 2 lesssons) – you’ll do great!
I could see the slightly intimidated, frightened look in his eyes and the nausea of thoughts sprinting through his head – You mean you want me to point this at people I don’t know – while they’re eating! ? ? ! ? ! ! ? But, it was the most endearing, sweet, loving thing I’ve EVER seen.He held the camera confidentally to his chest and headed off into the swarms of nicely dressed, artsy people – he glanced back at me through the crowd and smiled.I knew at THAT moment just how much he loved me.
Financial Advisor by day – photographer extraordinaire by night!
We had a little too much fun with the fish eye before the event started.Mark was so excited to discover that he could willingly distort my face if he wanted to.The LACMA was celebrating a brand new wing of the museum and they also had a ton of new, fun streetlamps that lit up the front of the museum. The photo opts with those were endless!
